FATIMA CADET-DIABY

Originaire de New York, Fatima Cadet-Diaby est une dramaturge, metteuse en scène et productrice récemment diplômée de Mount Holyoke College, où elle a fait des études de théâtre et s’est spécialisée dans le domaine du théâtre musical. Pendant ses études, elle a fait des stages avec le Manhattan Theatre Club, Ars Nova Entertainment, The Musical Theatre Factory, Repertorio Español, truTV, Warner Media et le New York Musical Theatre Festival. Après, elle a fait un master dans les Études Cinématographiques à l’Université Paris 7 Diderot.  Actuellement, Fatima est étudiante à l’Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne en master professionnel Digital, Médias, et Cinéma.  En 2018, elle a décidé de créer une compagnie de théâtre/boîte de production, LOLINE STAGE & FILM, qui vise à créer des initiatives diversifiées ouvertes à toutes et à tous.  Récemment, elle a monté The Lemonade Short Play Festival (anciennement 10 Minute Play Festival en 2017) pour mettre en valeur les jeunes talents internationaux vivant à Paris en 2018.  Plus récemment, elle a monté une production de la pièce de théâtre, The Mountaintop (écrit par Katori Hall) à la Cité Internationale et puis une représentation avec un casting noir d’Antigone par Jean Anouilh.

Originally from New York, Fatima Cadet-Diaby is a playwright, director, and producer.  She recently graduated from Mount Holyoke College where she studied Theatre Studies and specialized in musical theatre.  During her studies, she completed several internships at Manhattan Theatre Club, Ars Nova Entertainment, The Musical Theatre Factory, Repertorio Español, truTV, Warner Media, and The New York Musical Theatre Festival.  Since moving to Paris, Fatima has completed a masters degree in Film Studies at University of Paris Diderot.  She is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in Film, Television, & Media Management at the University of Paris Pantheon Sorbonne.  In the summer of 2018, she decided to create Loline Stage & Film, a hybrid film/television production company and theatre company aimed at promoting diverse and eclectic narratives. In the past few years, she has produced two  new works festivals in Paris under the new name, The Lemonade Short Play Festival (formerly The 10 Minute Play Festival presented in 2017).   She also produced and directed a production of the contemporary American play, “The Mountaintop” by Katori Hall and the French adaption of the classical play, “Antigone” by Jean Anouilh with an all Black cast.
