David Belaga
David est professeur d'anglais au lycée à Montreuil depuis 2016. Ancien élève de l'ENS de Lyon, agrégé d'anglais, il a obtenu un contrat doctoral à l'ENS de la rue d'Ulm pour écrire une thèse en études cinématographiques. Au lieu d'écrire sur la dystopie dans le cinéma américain, il écrivait, réalisait et montait des petits films, entre autre chose. Il a fait des stages au théâtre avec Stéphane Braunscweig and Joël Pommerat. Puis il compléta la formation professionnelle pour comédien de deux ans à l'Ecole de Jeu de Delphine Eliet. Sa situation financière l'obligea à prendre un travail stable. D'où le lycée!
Les représentations du Shakespeare avec Summertide étaient sa première expérience professionnelle au théâtre. Maintenant David se concentre sur d'autres centres d'intérêts comme la programmation informatique, l'écriture et qui sait, peut-être la réalisation.
David has been a high-school English teacher in Montreuil since 2016. A former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Lyon, he has an agrégation in English and received a grant for a PhD in Film Studies at the ENS rue d'Ulm in film studies.
However, instead of working on his thesis about dystopia in American films, he wrote, directed, and edited short-movies among other things.
Striving to direct feature films, he has interned for theater directors (Stéphane Braunscweig and Joël Pommerat). He then he enrolled for the two year acting programme of the Ecole du Jeu of Delphine Eliet. Poor finances dictated a steady job be, so hello high school!
The Summertide production A Midsummer Night's Dream was his first experience in a professional project. Now David is focused on other interests such as computer
programming and writing and maybe directing one day.
